1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of amydodentistry.com (the "Website") and your participation in the text messaging program operated by Dr. Amy Do Family Dentistry ("we," "us," "our," or "the Practice"). By using the Website, submitting a form on the Website, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Website and do not opt in to our text messaging program.
2. Text Messaging Program Terms
2.1 Program Name and Description
Our text messaging program is operated under the name Dr. Amy Do Family Dentistry Patient Messaging. When you opt in, we may send you SMS text messages that include:
- Appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling changes
- Requests to confirm, reschedule, or cancel an appointment
- Recall and hygiene visit reminders
- Treatment plan follow-up and post-operative instructions
- Billing, balance, and payment notifications
- Office announcements, such as schedule changes or closures
- Requests for feedback or an online review after your visit
2.2 How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive text messages by checking the SMS consent box on a form on this Website, by completing a patient intake, registration, or update form that includes text messaging consent, by texting our office number, or by giving verbal consent to a member of our team, which we document in your record. Consent boxes are never pre-checked, and consent is always a separate, affirmative action.
2.3 Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your appointment activity and account status.
2.4 Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for the messages we send. Any charges you incur are imposed by your wireless carrier under your service plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
2.5 How to Opt Out
You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. We also honor the replies QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, and OPT OUT. You may also opt out by calling our office at (831) 685-3300 or emailing dentists@amydodentistry.com, or by telling any member of our team.
After you send an opt-out request, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages from us unless you opt in again. We process opt-out requests promptly and in no event more than ten (10) business days after receipt.
2.6 How to Get Help

2.7 Rejoining the Program
If you opt out and later wish to receive messages again, you may opt in again by any of the methods described in Section 2.2.
2.8 Carrier Liability
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.
2.9 Supported Devices and Carriers
Our messaging program is compatible with most major United States wireless carriers. Carrier support may change without notice, and we are not responsible for messages that are not delivered because of carrier limitations, device settings, spam filtering, or service interruptions.
2.10 Changes to Your Mobile Number
You agree to notify us promptly if your mobile telephone number changes or is deactivated so that we do not send messages to a number that is no longer yours. You represent that you are the subscriber to, or the customary user of, the mobile number you provide and that you are authorized to consent to receive messages at that number.
2.11 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the parent or legal guardian of the patient, to consent to receive text messages from us.
2.12 Consent Is Not a Condition of Treatment or Purchase
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving dental care, scheduling an appointment, or purchasing any product or service from Dr. Amy Do Family Dentistry.
2.13 Privacy of Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in our Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your use of our messaging program is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
3. Healthcare Disclaimer
Text messages, emails, and content on this Website are provided for appointment, administrative, and general informational purposes only. They do not constitute dental or medical advice, do not create a doctor-patient relationship, and are not a substitute for an in-person examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed dental professional.
Never disregard professional dental or medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read on this Website or received in a message from us.
4. Not for Emergencies
Text messaging, email, and Website forms are not monitored continuously and must never be used to report a dental or medical emergency. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For an urgent dental concern, call our office at (831) 685-3300.
5. Appointments, Cancellations, and Financial Policy
Appointment requests submitted through this Website or by text message are requests only and are not confirmed until a member of our team confirms them directly with you. We ask that you provide advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Our current cancellation and financial policies are provided at the time of scheduling and at your visit and are incorporated into the agreement between you and the Practice.

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You may not:
